Recommended Installation Methods for River Rock and Pebble Mosaic

Surface should be clean and dry. All cracks should be patched and taped. Any low spots should be floated. Lines should be chalked to keep stone pieces regular.

Step #1: Use 3/8" notch trowel to apply Thin Set.

Step #2: Set stone pieces to interlock together keeping larger node nearest setters left. Clean any Thin Set overage and haze.

Step #3: Seal stone before grouting so that grout will release easily.

Step #4: Grout to desired look. Grout smaller areas at a time to allow for grout removal, showing apex of the stone. Use of a wetter mix is helpful.

Step #5: Clean with vinegar to remove haze.

Step #6: Apply two coats of Aqua Mix Stone Enhancer Sealer to stone and grout.
